Day is the smallest and cheapest shotgun on Theragun's list - and I think it's the perfect accessory for anyone who keeps working.

The latest generation of Theragun massage parlors showcases a very small and inexpensive model of the product called the Mini.
The Day offers the same amount of beats per minute as the top models of Tragun, compact enough to fit into a small bag, and brings effective relief to the preparation before or after exercise.
At $ 199, the Mini is the cheapest model for that type of product, making it an amazingly attractive option for anyone considering buying their first massage parlor.
The fourth-generation Therabody Gymnastics has introduced the Theragun Mini, a portable device that punches the sky with a very small package.
Massage guns have exploded with popularity over time. As a tool to rediscover everyone from professional athletes to casual runners and weight saviors, they have become a blessing in the sports medical industry - and something anyone can use from the comfort of their own home.
At the forefront of new gun technology is Tragun, a company that has been providing a range of home treatment tools since 2016.
In the years since its launch, the brand has been releasing updated and redesigned versions of its flagship rifle, led by Theragun G3 of 2018 and Theragun G3Pro of 2018.
Today, the Tragun enters its fourth generation. Along with the re-branding name (it now goes with Therabody and offers CBD products), the company has introduced its most advanced massage therapy program.
There’s a Pro-grade Pro, a small but equally elite Elite, a basic Prime, and a portable Mini, which is very stressful.
With the top three models, Theragun improved in its experimental formula and reality.
There’s a triangular shape, amazing power, the ability to work the muscles deep without stopping the gun, and now they have a smartphone app-integrated.
Day builds its way, though. Which means to complete a larger program, the Mini actually does enough self-sufficiency - portable, has a unique design, offers the same output per minute (PPMs) as advanced models, and holds a price tag of just $ 199.
To feel how effective it is, I spent four days and a Day attached to my waist.
I used to use everything, too, from exercising before running for three to four miles to recovering after a free 45-minute weight loss, resistance band, or exercise with a medicine ball.
I was amazed as I continued no matter how painful or strong I was. After digging into its specs, it turns out that I had to expect that kind of results from the beginning.
A powerful massage gun in a small pocket
Theragun Mini
That impressive performance is almost entirely due to the underside of the iconic Theragun Mini. With three different speed options of 1,750, 2,100, and 2,400 PPM, the Mini is nothing but a waterproof version of the high-end Theragun models.
In fact, each of the fourth generation Generation Guns provides speeds ranging from 1,750 to 2,400 PPM, allowing Day to stand on its own toe and relative.
While the advanced models offer more PPM controls within that range, the Mini still packs the same punching punch - even if it doesn't customize by offering only those three speeds directly.
Unlike the top models, the Day can have a hard time hitting the muscles deep and long before standing. Although its PPM emissions are similar, the Mini has a much lower limit of non-cellular energy (the amount of energy it can extract before it stops).
While the Pro or Elite offers more than 60 pounds and 40 pounds of stall power, respectively, the Day offers only 20 pounds.
Having spent the Day almost completely relieved before running or recovering after exercise, I have never found this to be a problem.
Anyone who needs deep work on their muscles, or who doesn’t want to fumble with a blocking device as they press too hard, may want to look at a different model.
Day still works well on my quads, back, shoulders, and calves without getting too close to the suspension.
I even found myself accessing it more often than Pro, even though the high-end model sits next to it. When I wanted a quick release, I knew that Day would be enough.
Unlike the massage guns that come with a selection of alternating heads, including the upper Theraguns,
The Day usually comes with just one round exercise head - however, it is removed and all Fourth Generation heads are aligned.
However, with the breadth of the area wide, the standard head even brought a massage wherever I used it. It also proved to be soft enough not to loosen up my bones whenever I was attacked.
Unusual design
Although its power is related to the more expensive models in Theragun, the composition of the Day is very different.
It still has an ergonomic shape that makes it easy to hold but does not have a triangular grip similar to that of Theragun's massage.
Instead, the Mini is shaped like a squatty spade (a card suit, not a shovel) with an indent near the base that provides a grip.
The on / off / off switch and the charging port are located on one side, while the head is attached to the small arm protruding from the top.
To unlock it requires a brief grip of the on / off button, and then pressing the same button changes speed from its lowest to the highest point.
Three lights remain on the button to prompt you to alert you to current power levels.
Mini's angle grip angles mean they will not be easily accessible in some hard-to-reach areas (like your upper back) and if you are able to reach them, a massage head will not always be ready to bring a direct hit. I found the unique grip comfortable but it took a while to get used to.
Instead of holding the handle as fully as you would at other Theragun models, the Mini actually sits in the palm of your hand - and its 1.5-pound weight is heavy enough to stay natural without causing much difficulty.
Even for a period of 20 minutes, I never experienced fatigue in the arm or arm. In addition to its ergonomic design, the Mini also features a matte finish that gives it a soft, soft texture.
Theragun
If there is one consistent complaint about a massage gun of any kind, it is because they can sound very strange. Since long periods can be frustrating, it is only natural to look for some form of motivation for something like that
At Daybreak, Theragun launched what it calls QuietForce Technology - and while it may sound like talking about a mysterious product, it actually lives up to its name.
Before digging into the sheet that came with the Mini, I tore through the pack and quickly lit it up. After a few seconds of use, one thing was clear: it was much quieter than any massage gun I had used.
The sound is still there, no doubt, but it's not very annoying, especially for long periods of time.
Is it worth it?
At $ 199, the Day is the cheapest gun to play Theragun name. As a portable but powerful and effective entry-level device, the Mini is an amazing addition to the product line.
While it may replace any of the more advanced product models, for the more casual user, it is perfect.
It provided enough rest after exercise that it was natural for a second to hold the Day in the same way I do roller foam. I was able to see how well it worked in areas of my body that were most painful, and - most notably in my lower back.
A few minutes of massage on my lower back was effective enough to allow me to avoid my usual back-to-back treatment of two Ibuprofen pills and a hot shower before just taking it can be painful all night.
Instead, the Mini relaxed those back muscles to the point that I forgot they were in pain at all.
The Theragun Mini also comes with a built-in charging cable and a soft carrying case. It is worth pointing out that this case is large enough to fit one device and has no charger space.
This is certainly not a breach of contract but it would be good to set everything up in one package.
Costs to consider
Making a Nitpick Day could mean that it does not include a removable battery.
This means that its 150-minute battery life is as good as it gets and once dead, you will have to reconnect it to refresh it without having to use it again.
If I think I have never used it for more than 20 to 30 minutes at a time, I have never been in a situation where the Mini battery has run out and I still need to use it.
It’s hard to find anything else wrong with the Day except it just isn’t strong enough to satisfy deep muscle activity.
This is by no means a coincidence because the whole point of the Day is to work as a compatible device with a more advanced model like Pro or to work for yourself as a less powerful massager.
It is important to understand its limitations and apply it in a way that highlights its power.
Important
The Theragun Mini is a simple yet effective reusable gun that makes me wonder if I might need any of the advanced features offered by the more expensive product models.
Of course, there are cases of use that require a deeper or deeper cut but the Day always brings exactly what I need - whether that was loosening it before going to the gym or making knots and tightening after a long workout.
Long-term, targeted times, speed customization and a variety of themes such as Pro, Prime, or Elite will certainly be helpful but for a speedy recovery, Day is impressive.
I can use it anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes at a time, depending on how hard or painful I was, and I never felt like I needed more of it.
Although it contained a different design than the tried and true triangle design of Theragun, it was easy to use and always comfortable in the palm of my hand.
Lack of external battery may mean waiting to use the gun for a few hours while it recovers but since I have used it for short periods of time, I have never run it is a problem.
The Day is an excellent addition to the current list of Theragun massage guns and is more than just a companion device to high-end product models.
By itself, it provides enough energy to do just as much as daily physical exercise and soon became something I would use for the rest of my pre- and post-exercise recovery.
Should you buy it? If you want a no-frills massage gun that is efficient, powerful, and easy to use, yes.
The Day may not offer the same level of power as other Theragun models like Pro or Elite but it does offer the same range of PPMs, includes soft head attachments with a wide area, and is small enough to go with the the go.
It is perfect for relaxing before running or working out with any muscle strength or tension after lifting weights.
What are your other options? By size, power, and price, there are no other direct paths to the Day. Even a budget option like Vybe Premium is more expensive and offers less size.
Other real options could be anything else from the fourth-generation Theragun release, including Pro, Elite, or Prime, or previous-generation Liv and G3 rifles.
Pros: A surprisingly powerful massage gun in a small form, under $ 200, good to get quickly, runs quietly
Disadvantages: 20 kg of non-stable stable does not allow deep massage, there is no way to replace the battery
